Welcome

For over 130 years, our hospital has played a vital role in the health of the people in Chippewa County and surrounding area.

Inspired by the Franciscan tradition of our founders, the services we offer are dictated not by the prospect of financial gain, but instead the opportunity to care, help and heal. In that spirit, we offer leading edge medical services. And something extra— the benefit of sincere caring.

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital is a licensed 193-bed hospital located in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The facilities, technology, and staff support a broad range of medical specialties. The hospital's ongoing capital improvement program assures that our facilities are modern, appealing, and designed to support the best practices available for patient care.

The primary mission of the Hospital Sisters Health System is to provide a structure and the means whereby the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis continue their healing mission in the Roman Catholic Church. Hospitals and other institutionally-based programs are the primary means of responding to those in need. Service is regarded as a ministry of healing which exemplifies the Gospel values of compassion, justice, and reverence for life throughout its continuum.
